Today’s Adventure: Random thoughts

It occurred to me today that the world is a lot closer than we all think sometimes. For instance, I know that I live in a major Metro area. However, there seems to be more people who I am connecting with via Facebook, Twitter or other sites where I find out the following at a later date:

1) They live relatively close to where I live
2) Used to live in the area
3) Has relatives in the area that they visit
4) Have to come through town recently for business, cons, etc

This reminded me of one of my favorite relatively recent romantic comedies where online friends really knew each other, but unfortunately as enemies: You’ve Got Mail

These kinds of local connections of my digital connections came up quite a bit this past weekend and this is what made me think to mention this here today. So, remember our digital connections are not only as close as our technology, but also may be as close as a drive or a walk as well.

Just some random thoughts I had today.
