#WalkMS Frankenmuth Adventure
Topic: WalkMS Frankenmuth 2013
Today, I participated in the WalkMS event in Frankenmuth, MI that I mentioned in a post a few weeks back. This is my second year participating in this event. As I wrote on my walker identification card (see image below), I walked to support all those who are suffer from multiple sclerosis, especially, Michael, my husband!
I joined the same team, “Karasten’s Crew“, as last year. The team members consisted of my friends and along with some members of their families. Below is the team picture we took at the end of the walk:
The weather today was a bit cold and cloudy with a threat of rain, but was much better the storm we endured last year. The storm trapped all the WalkMS participants inside and all we could do was dance (see image below) instead of walking:
The weather held and we actually were able to have a pleasant walk. Below are some of the pictures I took along the course:
Below are some pictures of my friends, Tom & Pam, who encouraged me to join their friend’s team for this walk:
Below is a picture of team captain, Karasten, who also suffers from the symptoms of MS:
The team walked the 3.2 Mile WalkMS course (see map below) in about 2 hours.
After we completed the walk, they gave us all 25th Anniversary buttons as a sign of our accomplishment!
I had a great time today and I want to thank everyone who was there with us and for all those that donated through my personal page. In addition, on behalf of my husband, the team captain, Karasten, and everyone that suffers the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, I want to say “Thank YOU” for supporting me and my efforts to raise awareness and funds to help fight this unpredictable disease!!!
