Sailor Moon R The Movie in Select Theaters Starting 1/19/17

Sailor Moon R The Movie in Select Theaters Starting 1/19/17

VIZ Media announced some of the U.S. theaters that will be showing the Sailor Moon R The Movie with an all new uncut English Dub just after the Los Angeles Premiere on January 13, 2017.

Sailor Moon R Movie Logo

Sailor Moon comes to the big screen in her first dazzling movie! Uncut and for the first time in theaters. Join Sailor Moon on an adventure to save not only the world, but also her true love! This limited engagement also includes the North American debut of the original theatrical short, Make Up! Sailor Guardians and exclusive extras. A special bonus gift will be given to ticket holders while supplies last.

Looking at the list of theaters, this Fangirl is disappointed that only one theater, The Maple Theater in Bloomfield Township, MI, will be showing this in my area. However, the good news is that there will be two showings, one of 1/19/17 and the other on 1/23/17, both at 7PM. Tickets are not available to buy for these showings yet. Hopefully, I will be able to buy tickets to one of these. Otherwise, I will have to wait until this is available on BluRay or via streaming.

#AtoZChallenge Starting April 1st

image

Starting on April 1, 2016, The Adventures of The Everyday Fangirl will be participating in the A to Z Blog Challenge. For those not familiar with this challenge, below is a brief explanation from the A to Z Blog Challenge website:

…beginning April First with a topic themed on something with the letter A, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until you finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.  It doesn’t even have to be a word–it can be a proper noun, the letter used as a symbol, or the letter itself.  The theme of the day is the letter scheduled for that day.

Below shows which letter will be featured and on which day in April.

The goal of this challenge is to encourage readers to check out those that are participating by visiting the A to Z sign up page and help both new and seasoned bloggers to discipline themselves and obtain new readers.

The organizers encourage bloggers to pick a theme to help meet the challenge. Last year, this blog’s theme was Star Wars and Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.  This year, the theme will be Characters and Character Traits.  Hopefully, this theme will be interesting and deverse enough to help this blog meet the challenge.

Good luck to all of the A to Z blog challenge participants and May The Force Be With You, Always!

Today is the day The Force Awakens

image

As you can see, I have my ticket to see Star Wars The Force Awakens this afternoon! #FangirlFlail!!!

This Everyday Fangirl is very excited to see this new movie and will be posting my spoiler free thoughts and feelings right after I see it today.

May The Force Be With You!

Everyday Fangirl will be watching these

First up is Sailor Moon Crystal on Hulu.

I will be watching this as soon as it is posted on Hulu at 6AM EST. I am really looking forward to the next episode of the Black Moon Arc, Attack-Black Lady.

Doctor Who on DisneyXD

I am really happy that Doctor Who is available on DisneyXD, especially these episodes starring David Tennet as the 10th Doctor. Anyone who has not experienced Doctor Who and wants to know what all the fuss is about should take this opportunity to watch.

Star Wars Rebels on DisneyXD

Finally, Season 2 finally premieres with the Siege of Lothal! I can now talk about what I saw back in April. Especially, my thoughts on the inclusion of Ahsoka and Darth Vader into the series and how the crew of The Ghost reacts to the inclusion of these characters.

Connecting Through Star Wars, Part I: Past Generations and Fandom by Johnamarie Macias

Awesome series of articles by Fangirl and blogger Johnamarie Macias, who I finally met in person at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, about Connecting Through Star Wars. There will be a new article in this series posted over the next couple of weeks. Check out her first article in this series below:

#StarWarsRebels returns this month!

This is a reminder that Star Wars Rebels returns this month with the Season 2 Premiere movie, “The Siege of Lothal“.  This movie will be broadcast on DisneyXD on June 20 and, for those that watch this series via the DisneyXD app or on iTunes, Lucasfilm Publicist, Tracy Cannobbio, confirmed on her Twitter account that this episode will be available on these platforms on June 21.  This is same movie that I was lucky enough to be invited to watch when I attended Star Wars Celebration Anaheim on behalf of this blog.

Check out this teaser trailer of this upcoming movie premiere!

#AtoZChallenge: No Fan Left Behind

‘No Fan Left Behind’

My husband, Michael, and I know what it feels like to not attend a Star Wars Celebration and depend on outlets, like Rebel Force Radioto provide comprehensive coverage during the event. Now with Media Pass in hand, we are in a position to help pass this tradition on and make sure that we do not leave any fans behind.

Stay tuned for The Adventures of The Everyday Fangirl from Star Wars Celebration Anaheim!

#AtoZChallenge: Join me…

For Star Wars fans the phrase “Join Me” is used by both Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine to entice Luke Skywalker to turn to the ‘Dark Side’ of the Force.  Today, I am using this phrase, not to entice you to the ‘Dark Side’, but to ask you to ask you to ‘join me’ in helping to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis (MS).   Many of you may be wondering just what is MS?

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that creates a neurological condition that affects the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS includes the brain, the spinal cord, and the optic nerves, and it’s surrounded by a fatty tissue called myelin that protects the nerve fibers and helps them conduct electrical impulses. MS is NOT fully understood and is a highly unpredictable disorder that can cause a variety of different symptoms, which for many, can flare-up and then subside over the course of days, months, or even years. There are four recognized types of multiple sclerosis, ranging from those that cause periodic relapses or “attacks” that subsequently ‘remit’ or go away to types that progressively worsen over time.

While MS is not contagious, its causes are not yet fully understood and researchers continue to search for answers daily.

Here are some Facts About MS that are known:

*Every hour, someone is newly diagnosed with MS.
*More than 2.5 million people worldwide live with this unpredictable disease.
*MS is the most common neurological disease leading to disability in young adults.
*Many Celebrities have MS including icons such as Annette Funicello, who passed away in 2013.
*Check out the latest statistics on MS here

My husband, Michael, suffers the relapsing remitting type of MS, which can cause a variety of symptoms that can flare-up and then subside over the course of days, months, or Even years. Some of the more common ones that he suffers from includes: *Fatigue *Difficulty in walking *Vision problems *Emotional changes *Problems with memory, attention, and problem-solving *Bladder/bowel dysfunction *Dizziness and vertigo *Numbness/pain.  I watch him every day struggle to have a normal life dispite what this disease is doing to him.

I might not be able to snap my fingers or use The Force to help my husband or anyone else that suffers from this life changing disease.  However, I can help raise funds, promote awareness and encouraging others to learn more about this disease and those who suffer from it.

Today, I have signed up again to participate in the Walk MS event in Frankenmuth, MI on May 9, 2015.  This event’s purpose is to help raise funds and promote awareness of this life changing disease.  Participating in this event is important to me because many people suffer, including my husband, symptoms of this disease on a daily basis! Therefore, I encourage you to ‘join me’ in this effort.

Tom Kelly, a Twitter friend of mine, is also raising funds for MS. He is participating in the Bike MS event in his area. You can find out more about his efforts here!

I know that many of you might not be able to donate financially to either of our fundraising efforts.  However, you can ‘join me’ in spreading the word!  ‘Join me’ and together WE can make a difference!

Any kind of help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
